IMPORTANT UPDATE CONCERNING MASK REQUIREMENT
Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson and the Arkansas Department of Health announced today, March 30, 2021, the requirement to wear masks will end. Throughout the pandemic, Cedarville School District has diligently complied with the directives of the Arkansas Department of Health, and we will continue to do so.
Therefore, effective tomorrow, March 31, 2021, masks will no longer be required to be worn by students, staff, or visitors when on Cedarville School District campuses. All other directives of the Arkansas Department of Health continue to be in effect until such time they are lifted by the Department of Health.
Until discontinued by the Department of Health, Cedarville School District will continue to practice all other previous safety and sanitation practices, such as spraying and disinfecting all facilities, providing hand sanitizer throughout the schools, encouraging hand washing, emphasizing social distancing, enhancing the amount of fresh air, and all other Health Department directives.
The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention continues to recommend that everyone wear a mask whenever social distancing cannot be assured. We support this recommendation. Although masks will no longer be required, we encourage everyone to consider wearing a mask whenever in close contact with other people.
Although no longer required, students, staff, and visitors are welcome to continue to wear masks at school and school events.
